SUBJECT: IFB No. C3142-18

LAUS Canopies Renovation

The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) is seeking Bids for Los Angeles Union Station (LAUS) Canopies Renovation. The estimated value of this work is $2,800,000.

Beginning August 30, 2018, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) may be obtained via download. Download: Visit SCRRA's website at http://www.planetbids.com/SCRRA/BidsOnline.cfm.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the time, date, and location noted on the IFBs Summary Schedule. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. A job walk will immediately follow and will be located at LAUS Platforms. This will be the only opportunity to view the worksite. Safety equipment, including hard hat, vest and sturdy shoes, is required.

Bids are to be submitted electronically and are due no later than the time, date, and location noted on the IFBs Summary Schedule. The bids' totals will be publicly available at the time.

A Bid Guarantee of ten percent is required for bid submittal.

Bidders (Prime or Subcontractor) must possess a valid Class "C22" Asbestos Abatement Contractor's License with (ASB) Asbestos Certification and at the time of contract award. All listed Subcontractors must also possess a valid California Contractor's License for the type of work to be performed at the time of contract award.

PLEASE ENSURE WHEN COMPLETING BID FORMS THAT ONLY THE APPLICABLE ‘BUY AMERICA' CERTIFICATE IS INCULDED IN YOUR BID, NOT BOTH.

Payment of prevailing wages and compliance with all required employment and training programs established by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations is required. Compliance with Davis-Bacon regulations will be required.

SCRRA has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and overall triennial DBE goal in accordance with Title 49 CFR, Part 26. SCRRA's Overall Triennial DBE Goal for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2016/2018 is 10%. The Authority has established a 7% DBE contract specific goal for this project.
