The Ken-Caryl Ranch Water and Sanitation District (Owner) will receive bids for the 2018 Sanitary Sewer and Fire Hydrant Replacements (Project) until 4:00 PM, local time, on December 4, 2018 at Ken-Caryl Ranch Water and Sanitation District, 10698 Centennial Road, Littleton, Colorado 80127 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.



Project Background: The work generally consists of the following:


  • Remove and replace 4 total sanitary sewer segments, consisting of approximately 650 L.F. of 8 inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) piping.
  • Repair an 8 inch diameter pipe joint separation in a sanitary sewer line.
  • Remove and replace 21 total fire hydrants.



Digital copies of the bid documents, containing the Contract Documents, Specifications, and detailed Drawings for the construction work, together with the proposed construction Contract, are available at for a fee of $15. The purpose of the bid is to establish a contract for performance of the work. The Owner anticipates awarding the construction contract on December 21, 2018. The project is to be substantially complete within 170 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidding requirements are described in the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid must include a Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid Price.


The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates of required insurance, a performance bond, and a payment bond. Performance and payment bonds shall each be for 100 percent of the accepted Bid amount. Contractor will also be required to obtain a Jefferson County permit and permit bond. The Bidder is required to have purchased a copy of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the source indicated in these documents. Obtaining these documents from any other source(s) may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information.
