Notice Summary:

MILE HIGH FLOOD DISTRICT

Pre-qualified Stream Contractors for General Construction and Management

Request for Statement of Qualifications

The Mile High Flood District (MHFD) formerly known as Urban Drainage and Flood Control District is currently requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from contractors interested in being on the list of Pre-qualified Stream Contractors to perform general stream construction and management including routine mowing and debris clean-up.

MHFD has implemented an alternative project delivery option that utilizes a list of pre-qualified contractors to do the majority of construction work.  Work includes large-scale drainageway capital improvement projects all the way down to routine stream management work.

There will be two categories of prequalified contractors.

Category I: General Stream Construction:  Included in this classification are all aspects of heavy construction in and around streams and rivers related to stormwater management.  Examples of work include, but are not limited to, concrete structures, box culverts, excavation and rock placements, drop structures, boulder walls, utility relocations, and storm sewers.  Category I work also includes all work tasks in Category II below.

Category II: General Stream Management:  Included in this classification are all aspects of work related to urban drainageways not involving significant heavy construction.  Examples of work include, but are not limited to, revegetation, small sediment removals, trail repairs, minor bank or channel repairs, handrail and fencing, tree thinning, weed control, and routine mowing and debris clean up.  Contractor must be able to obtain and correctly administer all required permits and have the ability to correctly install and maintain erosion control, sediment control, and water control measures.

Details about the SOQ submittal are available on MHFD’s website, www.udfcd.org at the bottom of the page under Recent News.

SOQs must be received at MHFD's office no later than October 18, 2019 by 4:00 p.m., or sent via email to mcorkery@udfcd.org (file size no larger than 10mb).  A confirmation email will be sent when the submittal is received.
