RFP-19-24

Owner’s Rep / Construction Manager for City Hall Remodel Project

 

Project Overview/Scope:  The City is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide Owner’s Representative / Construction Management Services for the remodel of the occupied 32,900 sq. ft. Municipal Building. The selected firm or individual will be responsible for providing services through construction, assisting with phased schedules to allow for business continuity and providing support for logistics of moving people, items and services during construction.

Recommended Pre-Proposal / Site Visit Conference:  Scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Wheat Ridge Municipal Building, west entrance for check-in in the Lobby, 7500 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge CO 80033.

Minimum Requirements:  Awarded firm must have a valid City of Wheat Ridge Business/Use Tax license prior to starting the project. This service requires compliance with both the “Illegal Alien” provisions of CRS 8-17.5-101 and “Non-Discrimination Assurance” of Title VI Regulations at 49 CFR Part 21 (forms included in bid documents).   Local Service required.  Security clearance (WRPD) required.

 

Minimum requirements for this project include owner’s representation, or construction management and execution of projects of similar scope and complexity, where integration and construction of new and existing infrastructure facilities are a major consideration. Interested firms shall have been in business in the Denver area for a minimum of five (5) years. Those firms shall have adequate staff and expertise to begin work within six (6) weeks of the submittal date.

 

Proposals Due:  THURSDAY, November 7, 2019 BY 4:00 PM OUR CLOCK. THERE IS NO PUBLIC OPENING. Late receipt of proposals will not be considered regardless of postmark or difficulties transmitting files. It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure the proposal is received in the Purchasing Office on or before the due date and time.

The City will accept proposals in hardcopy or email format. Sealed hardcopy proposals must include:  one (1) marked “Original” and three (3) copies of the proposal, for a total of four (4) complete sets, and an electronic copy.

Comments:  All proposals must be sealed, and will be validated upon receipt. No proposals will be accepted after the due date and time. Proposals received after the specified opening time will be filed unopened. The City of Wheat Ridge reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part, and to waive any formalities or informalities to make an award in the best interest of the City.
