Notice Summary:

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Ujima Family Recovery Services, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that empowers families to overcome alcohol and drug addiction and maintain recovery.  

We are seeking qualified general contractors to submit bids for improvements to the Rectory building located at 1901 Church Lane, San Pablo. The project features the following scope of work: Correction of drainage issues that addresses the rear parking area and the back yard area, including the play structure area. The approved plans can be obtained by emailing Rita Schank (rschank@ujimafamily.org). Any necessary permits are expected to be obtained by the awarded contractor.

Bid Walk:       The Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the project site on the following date:  Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:00 pm

 

Bid Due Date:           Friday, November 8, 2019 by 5:00 pm

Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted.

This project is funded in part by the Contra Costa County CDBG program. The successful low bidder will be required to comply with State of California requirements for public works projects, in addition to all applicable Federal CDBG regulations, including payment of federal prevailing wages (Davis-Bacon Act). The Federal prevailing wage can be found in the Bid Packet and the current State Prevailing Wages can be found at https://www.dir.ca.gov/OPRL/2019-1/PWD/index.htm. When the Federal and State prevailing wages differ, the higher of the two must be paid. The successful low bidder must register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as a Public Works Contractor. They must also be a California-licensed general contractor and able to provide proof of both general liability and workers compensation insurance. This project is also subject to enforcement by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the state’s DIR. Local M/W/DBE certified general contractors are encouraged to submit bids. Ujima Family Recovery Services, Inc., reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
