PUBLIC NOTICE

TEMECULA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Please take notice that the Temecula Valley Unified School District (“District”) is issuing a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) qualified entities for Lease-Leaseback (“LLB”) services pursuant to Education Code section 17406 to provide construction related services for the modernization and associated site work for the construction of BASES Building at Vail Elementary School (“Project”) is located on an occupied elementary school site.  The RFP can be obtained on the District’s website at https://www.tvusd.k12.ca.us/Page/23031.  The award will be to the entity offering the best value to the District, as defined in the RFP.

Prequalification in compliance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 is required for this Project. The District’s Prequalification Application is done on-line, and is available at https://www.tvusd.k12.ca.us/Page/23022, and by clicking the link to QualityBidders.

CRITICAL DATES:

Nov. 12, 2019 at 10:00 am – Mandatory Project Walk-Through – Firms shall assemble at the Vail Elementary School, 29835 Mira Loma Drive, Temecula, CA 92592. Meet at the Administration Building main entrance, at the flagpole.

Nov. 18, 2019 – Deadline to submit prequalification applications

Nov. 20, 2019 – Deadline for Submittal of Questions

Dec. 2, 2019 by 1:00 pm – Due Date for Submittal of Proposals

Dec. 19, 2019 – Anticipated Notification of Selected Firm*

Jan. 6, 2019 – Anticipated Notice to Proceed*

* Estimated deadlines subject to revision at the District’s discretion.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION

  • Turn key project consisting of pre-engineered 5,400 sqft. metal framed building, exterior and interior components, infrastructure, including hard and softscape improvements as detailed within the plans and specifications.  The project is located on an occupied elementary school site.
  • License required: B General Building Contractor
  • Anticipated Start of Construction: January 2020
  • Estimated total cost of the Project: $1,500,000
  • Estimated Lease Term: Five (5) months – construction services
