NOTICE TO BIDDERS


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT is inviting bids for the project referred to and described as follows:

 

PROJECT:

Coyote Hills Well Replacement Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The East Bay Regional Park District (District) intends to install a new water supply well for the purpose of providing irrigation water for future farming operations on the Coyote Hills Park. The new water supply well will replace the existing Patterson Well, which will be destroyed as part of this project.

Install New Water Supply Well, Electrical Pad and Pedestal

Drill and install new 26-inch diameter, 360-foot deep Water Supply Well in the Coyote Hills Regional Park. Conduct geophysical logging and collect formation samples during drilling. Complete wellhead and concrete pedestal. Contain and dispose of spent drilling fluids. Complete well development and a step drawdown pumping test. Additionally, conduct well video survey and plumbness/alignment survey. Once well construction, development, and testing is completed, furnish and install vertical turbine pump.

Site Improvements

Install new aggregate base access road to new well site. Install new electrical conduit line to new electrical pedestal.

Destroy Existing Patterson Well

Destroy existing 12-inch diameter, 300-foot deep Patterson Well per ACWD permit conditions. Remove and waste above ground piping facilities and associated fittings, and remove and waste existing electrical pad and pedestal.

Utility Coordination

Coordinate service disconnect and abandonment of existing electrical utility line with PG&E. Coordinate new service connection to new electrical panel with PG&E.

Each bid shall be made in accordance with the Contract Documents available for inspection beginning on

Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Hard copies are also available for viewing (but not for purchase) at various builder’s exchanges as listed on the website noted above.

 

A bidder must purchase a complete set (hard or electronic copy) from BPX Printing and Graphics to be considered responsive and to receive addenda notifications. There is a non-refundable fee of $90 PER SET for a bid package, plus shipping and handling if necessary.

 

Pre-Bid Examination of Site and Contract Documents: In accordance with Article 13 of the General Conditions, Bidders shall coordinate site access with Clay Simmons, CSimmons@ebparks.org a minimum of 72-hours prior to site visit. Site visits will be permitted from September 1, 2020 through Thursday September 10, 2020.


Bids shall be uploaded electronically to the Park District planroom link above via the “Submit Bid Docs” tab on the Coyote Hills Well Replacement Project page before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Bids will be publicly opened at that time via online Zoom meeting at the link below:
