NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Lions Center for the Visually Impaired (LCVI) invites the submission of sealed bids from qualified general contractors for the renovation of LCVI at 175 Alvarado Ave. Pittsburg, CA 94565.

The project features the following scope of work: Interior remodeling, new doors, new windows, electrical, plumbing, and other work as shown on the contract plans, as specified in the contract documents.  Any necessary permits are expected to be obtained by the awarded contractors.

 

Project site:       175 Alvarado Ave., Pittsburg, CA 94565

Bid Walk:            A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the project site on the following date.

Registration for the mandatory walkthrough is recommended (but not required).

Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted.

 

This project is funded in part by the Contra Costa CBDG program.  The successful low bidder will be required to comply with all applicable Federal CBDG regulations including payment of federal prevailing wages (Davis-Bacon).  In addition, this project is subject to California State prevailing wages and public works project requirements.  The successful low bidder must be a California licensed contractor and must be able to provide proof of general liability insurance and workers compensation insurance.  The successful low bidder will be required to register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as registered Public Works Contractor, if the selected bidder is not currently registered.  This project is subject to enforcement by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the State’s DIR. Local M/W/DBE certified contractors are encouraged to submit bids.  The Lions Center for the Visually Impaired reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
