Build Group, Inc. is requesting subcontractor bids from all Certified / Qualified subcontractors’ and material suppliers for the following project:

 

This is a Prevailing Wage project

 

City of San Rafael Fire Station 54 & 55

Owner: City of San Rafael

Location: 46 Castro Street San Rafael, CA and 955 Point San Pedro Rd. San Rafael, CA

Bid Date & Time: 5/13/21 at 11AM

Scope of Work: Fire Station 54 is located at 46 Castro St., San Rafael, California and consists of the following: The proposed 5,108 sf, two-story fire station will house three on-duty fire fighters. The shift duty is a 48-hour schedule resulting in a shift change every other day. 8 on-site parking spaces are provided to accommodate this shift change. The core facilities of the station include the following elements: • Two apparatus bays • Apparatus support spaces including a medical storage, Clean-up area, turnout storage and related janitor facilities • Gym • Station office • Kitchen, dining, dayroom, and laundry room • Private sleeping quarters with gender neutral restrooms • Mechanical, electrical, communications rooms • Elevator • Emergency generator Fire Station 55 is located at 955 Point San Pedro Rd., San Rafael, California and consists of the following: The proposed 4,869 sf, single-story fire station will house three on-duty fire fighters. The shift duty is a 48-hour schedule resulting in a shift change every other day. 7 on-site parking spaces are provided to accommodate this shift change and 1 van accessible parking space accessible to the public. (Temporary Fire Station will be on site located on west lawn area. Contractor shall maintain access to allow Fire Station staff to fully operate during construction). The core facilities of the station include the following elements: • Two apparatus bays • Apparatus support spaces including a medical storage, Clean-up area, turnout storage and related janitor facilities • Gym • Station office • Kitchen, dining, dayroom, and laundry room • Private sleeping quarters with gender neutral restrooms • Mechanical, electrical, communications rooms • Emergency generator • Fueling station (see Alternate 1)

 

Please note that the Fire Station #54 & Fire Station #54 should be priced as two separate projects.

 

This project has (7) alternates:

 

1. ADD Alternate No. 1-4-Fold App Bay doors in lieu of sectional roll-up doors

 

2. ADD Alternate No. 2-Demolition and replacement of FS 54 App Bay concrete floor slab

 

3. ADD Alternate No. 3-New Skylights in existing app bay roof structures at both Fire Stations

 

4. ADD Alternate No. 4-Installation of porcelain tile flooring in lieu of linoleum

 

5. ADD Alternate No. 5-Installation of new fuel tank on concrete pad

 

6. ADD Alternate No. 6-Demolition of existing concrete apron and replacement

7. ADD Alternate No. 7-Replace vehicle exhaust system with new Plymovent system
