The Council of the City of Richmond will accept secure bids for the construction of:
CITY OF RICHMOND
MARTIN LUTHER KING FIELD TURF REPLACEMENT PROJECT
until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 submitted from California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) and other qualified contractors via the City’s secure online bidding system at www.ci.richmond.ca.us/bids. All contractors will receive an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp.
Two MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conferences will be held. Contractors are required to attend one of the two pre-bid conferences/meetings.
Public Works staff will be available to answer questions related to the bid documents and the project. Participation in one of the two Pre-bid Conferences is MANDATORY. Contractor’s name and company must appear on the in-person or electronic sign in sheet in order to bid on the project. Bids received from Contractors who fail to attend the mandatory pre-bid conference will be rejected. The pre-bid conference will last approximately one (1) hour.
The Granted Construction Cost for the Base Bid Work is: $ 425,000.00 MAXIMUM
Bid Documents can be ordered online as electronic files at no cost. You must be a registered vendor with the City of Richmond to place an order for bid documents. Please visit the City’s website at www.ci.richmond.ca.us/bids to register as a vendor and to order your bid documents. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Richmond, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum State and Federal prevailing wage salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
The City of Richmond reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the City of Richmond for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
