Tenant Improvements for the Customs and Border Protection Offices, SFO.


Guzman Construction Group Inc. is competitively bidding on this project and requesting subcontractor bids.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Tenant Improvements for the Customs and Border Protection Offices Project consists of minor interior tenant improvements to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office space located within the West Field Cargo building at the San Francisco International Airport. Work includes, but is not limited to, the addition of two private offices within an existing open office area, conversion of an existing mail room into a breakroom with the addition of a kitchenette, reconfiguration of existing office furniture partition systems, replacement of carpet tile and resilient flooring, and painting. Work will require minor reconfiguration of existing mechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, new electrical and data service, lighting, and life-safety systems (fire alarm and fire protection) to serve new spaces.

LBE REQUIREMENTS: The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 20%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with San Francisco CMD-certified Small LBEs or Micro-LBEs. PUC-LBEs and SBA-LBEs cannot be counted toward meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement.

WAGE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum wage rates for this project must comply with the current General Prevailing Wage as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Minimum wage rates other than applicable General Prevailing Wage must comply with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 12P, Minimum Compensation.


REQUESTED BID TRADES: Building Demolition, Metal Fabrication, Rough Carpentry, Finish Carpentry, Solid Surfacing Fabrications, Thermal Insulation, Roofing, Door, Drywall, Flooring, Signage, Painting, Appliances, Window Coverings, DB Fire sprinkler, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical.

CONTRACT DURATION: The Contract Time is 288 total consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed.


ESTIMATED COST OF CONSTRUCTION: Estimated between $1,000,000 and $1,125,000.
