EVRAZ North America (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
ST. CHARLES NO. 3 RESERVOIR DAM OUTLET REHABILITATION PROJECT
Electronically transmitted bids for the construction of the St. Charles No. 3 Reservoir Dam Outlet Rehabilitation Project will be received electronically by Brad C. Zerfas, Manager of Engineering, EVRAZ North America, until 2:00 PM local time on October 2, 2023 at which time the Bids received will be privately opened and read. The completed bid package must be emailed to brad.zerfas@evrazna.com by the stated deadline. Bids will only be accepted from the approved bidders list.
The Project includes the following Work:
- Construction of an earthen coffer dam downstream of the existing valve house.
- Demolition of the existing valve houses and downstream portion of the concrete encased outlet works conduits.
- Underwater demolition and removal of the existing trashracks, poppet valves and poppet valve supports.
- Underwater installation of four new hydraulically actuated slide gates.
- Underwater concrete placement.
- Underwater installation of vent pipes, hydraulic line conduits, and a compressed air line conduit.
- Underwater installation of a new intake structure trashracks and beams.
- Cleaning, inspecting and measuring the existing outlet works conduits.
- Installation of HDPE compression fit liner pipes within the existing outlet works conduits.
- Construction of a reinforced concrete outlet structure and riprap lined discharge channel.
The total project construction cost is estimated to be in the $3,000,000 - $5,000,000 range.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: RJH Consultants, Inc., 9800 Mt. Pyramid Court, Suite 330, Englewood, CO 80112. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of $500 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund of $250 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on September 13, 2023 at the Project Location. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
