PROJECT NOTICE
McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., hereinafter called MBC, is seeking quotes from qualified, certified SBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE contractors and suppliers to perform as subcontractors on the above referenced project.
All SBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE contractors must provide proof of SBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE certification..
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
MCB has been awarded the UC Davis Health (UCDH) Systems Sacramento Parking Structure #7 which is a new parking structure to support the growth of the campus. This structure will consist of a 5-story cast-in-place parking structure, approximately 382,000 GSF to supply about 1259 parking stalls.
MBC intent is to award a Subcontractor on a best value basis for Design Assist, Pre-Construction Services, and Construction for the below listed work categories for the following project:
UC DAVIS HEALTH SYSTEMS – SACRAMENTO PARKING STRUCTURE #7
The following Work Categories (WC) are in Trade Bid Package 02 and bid documents will be available as follows:
* WC 08-30: Glass & Glazing (Design Assist)
* WC 08-90: Louvers (Design Assist)
* WC 13-31: Tensioned Fabric Panels (Design Assist)
Firms interested in receiving a bid package for this project should contact McCarthy at the email address below. Responding firms will be invited to bid this project via Building Connected. The project information, plans, specifications, and bid instructions will be available using the Building Connected System. Plans and Specifications will also be available to view upon request. Please request information from the listed contact below. Subject line of the email should state Bid Interest – UCDH PS7; Work Category # XX-XX (list the WC number). Confirmation of interest to bid shall be made via Building Connected.
This project is subject to an Owner’s Labor Compliance Program and University Controlled Insurance Program (UCIP) including, but not limited to skilled and trained workforce requirements, prevailing wage rates and apprentice ratio requirements and DIR registration. All awarded contractors must comply with the requirements of the Owner’s Labor Compliance Program. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to California Labor Code 1720 et seq., and California Public Contract Code Section 4100 et seq. All insurance policies required to be obtained by Design-Assist trade partner shall be subject to approval by McCarthy Building Companies and University for form and substance. All such policies shall be issued by a company rated by Best as A- or better with a financial classification of VIII or better or have equivalent rating by Standard and Poor's or Moody's.
Responsive bidders must possess a valid California Contractor’s license (as appropriate), current DIR registration and be eligible to bid or work on public works projects pursuant to sections 1777.1 or 1777.7 of the Labor Code. Bid Bond Security in the amount of 15% of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid.
Payment and Performance bonds for 100% of the value of the contract are required for all contracts with a value of $500,000 or greater. McCarthy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine which bonding type and/or program shall be used, McCarthy’s Contractor Default Insurance Program, or a Subcontractor supplied Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. McCarthy requires all subcontractors that are required to provide a bond to do so using a surety with an AM Best rating of A- or higher.

Bidders will be deemed non-responsive for failure to pre-qualify prior to the bid date.
