Mid-Valley Connector Construction
The Mid-Valley BRT is a 7-mile bus rapid transit project which includes 1.4 miles of exclusive bus lanes and 15 station location (25 individual stations) 3 of which are center stations. The project will include all utility work to install the stations and connect the communications to the UTA hubs. Retaining and post and panel walls are included with this project as is an extension to the North Jordan Canal in Salt Lake City, Utah.
OWNER: Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has a 10% DBE for this contract.

This advertisement is in response to Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Mid-Valley Connector Construction Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. Herzog Contracting Corp. intends to conduct itself in “Good Faith” with DBE firms regarding participation on this project. Herzog Contracting Corp. will divide the work into smaller units to increase the opportunities for participation. Assistance is available in obtaining bonds, insurance, lines of credit, necessary equipment, supplies, materials, or related assistance or services. All subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance, and worker’s comp insurance coverage meeting Herzog Contracting Corp. requirements. Please furnish the DIR number with your quote submittal. Include applicable DBE certifications issued and validated by pertinent agencies. Please also provide bond rates with your submitted bids. Please submit bids for the following work (but not limited to):
Erosion Control, Demolition/Removals, Utility Work, Earthworks, Asphalt Paving, Concrete Paving, Concrete Flatwork, Drainage, Pavement Markings, Signage, Station Platforms, Station Canopy/Shelters, Station Amenities, Electrical work, Landscaping, Irrigation, Traffic Control, Traffic Signals, Lighting, ATMS Communications, Fencing, Hand Railing, Sawcutting, Clearing & Grubbing, Profile Rotomilling, Aggregates, Ready Mix Concrete, Geotextile, Conduits, Detectable Warning Tiles, Concrete Barrier, Crash Cushions, Survey, Quality Control, Potholing, Trucking, Retaining Walls, Drainage Pipe, Drainage Structures, Reinforcing Steel/Rebar, Public Relations.
DBE Eligibility and Certification: Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Mid-Valley Connector has specified a DBE participation goal of 10% for the Work to be performed under the Contract. Award of the Contract will be conditioned on meeting the requirements of this section. 49 CFR Part 26.53 and Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26 shall serve as the criteria for evaluating compliance with the good faith efforts requirements.
