INVITATION INVITING BIDS

Design and Build Roof Replacement on Medical Office Building

 

The San Bernardino Mountains Community Hospital District (“SBMCHD”) located in Lake Arrowhead California is seeking qualified contractors to publicly bid on the Design and Build Roof Replacement on Medical Office Building located at 29099 Hospital Road in Lake Arrowhead California.  The Project includes the removal and replacement of the existing roof, replacement of the building fascia and trim and installation of rain gutters.

All information requested by the Bid document must be provided in the form requested and will form the basis of the SBMCHD evaluation. The SBMCHD reserves the right to independently confirm all information provided by a bidder.

Hard copies of the Bid documents are available at the Mountains Community Hospital reception desk located at 29101 Hospital Road, Lake Arrowhead, California 92352. Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Walk-Thru will be held at 1:30p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Mountains Community Hospital.

All prospective bidders must attend this Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting and Walk-Thru to be qualified to bid. 

Sealed Bids, including mandatory bid security, will be due to the Mountains Community Hospital reception desk no later than 2:00p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, after which they will be publicly read. Late bids will not be accepted and will be returned un-opened.

All information provided as part of the Bidders Qualifications will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law. However, contents may be disclosed to third parties for purpose of verification, in the investigation of substantial allegations, or in any appeal hearing.  The Contractor awarded this contract, and all Subcontractors of any tier shall not pay less than the minimum prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to perform the work. The California Director of Industrial Relations (DIR), pursuant to the California Labor Code, and the U.S. Secretary of Labor, pursuant to the Davis‐Bacon Act, have determined the general prevailing rates of wages for which the work is to be performed.

The SBMCHD reserves the right to waive minor irregularities of form in the information contained in the Bidders Qualification questionnaire and will make all final determinations. Bidders must have a valid Class B License and must be registered with the DIR to work on Public Works Projects.

All prospective bidders are advised of the following:

A. No contractor or subcontractor may submit a bid or be listed on the bid proposal for a public works project unless the bidder is registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 172.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1 (a)]

B. No contractor or sub-contractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.

 

C. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations.
