TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES

CESAR CHAVEZ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON OCTOBER 9, 2024

 

Second Floor – Room 209 - 135 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA

TIMELY BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME

Contractor’s License Required for the Work: Class B, General Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification or Sub-Contractors with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work; OR, C-10 Electrical Contractor or Sub-Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work; in addition, Data cabling, fiber, and low-voltage system work must be performed by C10 or C-7 licensed and Belden Certified contractor. Conduit and electrical work to be performed by C-10 licensed contractor. Any Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law.

 

The Project is generally described as including but not limited to: Technology and data upgrades that include but are not limited to the demolition of the existing MDF rack in Room 209 and the existing IDF wall cabinet in modular building B1. A new MDF build-out in room 112, a new IDF build-out in room 209, and a new outdoor IDF outside exterior rack near the modular building B1. Additional electrical work to support expansion, alongside the installation of new data network equipment and connections to accommodate expanded technology requirements affecting the main buildings, classrooms, administrative offices, corridors, and other service areas. Installation of data and phone network systems, network racks, and equipment with associated conduit, cabling, fiber, electrical wiring, and panels. The demolition and removal of abandoned equipment and materials and hazardous materials removal.

 

The estimated construction is $868,020.00.

 

Prevailing Wage: The work described is pursuant to California Labor Codes 1770 and 1771.

 

Job-Walks. There will be two job walks as indicated below. Attendance at one of the job walks is a MANDATORY requirement to bid for General Contractors. All attendees are required to sign-in to be acknowledged to be in attendance and eligible to bid.

 

Job Walk No. 1:  September 18, 2024, 10:00 A.M.

Job Walk No. 2:  September 25, 2024, 10:00 A.M.

 

Bidders shall meet at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, 825 Shotwell St., San Francisco, CA 94110 at the date and time for the Job Walk. Bidders shall meet at the main entrance on Shotwell Street.
