NOTICE is hereby given that the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will receive Bids until December 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM, for the above project electronically via

PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS SHOULD NOTE THAT THIS CONTRACT REQUIRES PRE-QUALIFICATION OF ALL PRIME CONTRACTORS.

The Work to be performed under the Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to convert the existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to Express Lanes (previously known as High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes) along US 101 from near Metcalf Road to the US 101/SR 85 Separation, and along SR 85 from the US 101/SR 85 Separation to Almaden Expressway Undercrossing in San Jose. The project limits are approximately 2 miles within a portion of US 101 and 6 miles within a portion of SR 85.

Required Licenses:

Class A (General Engineering) C-8 (Concrete)

HAZ (Hazardous Substance Removal Certification)

The estimated cost of construction for the Project is in the range of

$25 million to $30 million.

A Bidder may fulfill these license requirements either by itself or in conjunction with licenses held by subcontractors of any tier with certain conditions, please refer to the Volume 1: Contract Documents for details.
