RENOVATIONS TO AN EXISTING MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING IN LUGOFF, SC

Sandhills Medical Foundation, Inc. invites bids from properly licensed, bonded, responsible and qualified Contractors for renovations to an existing Medical Office Building in Lugoff, South Carolina. Bids for this work will be opened in the office of Sandhills Medical Foundation, Inc., 40 Baldwin Avenue, Lugoff, SC 29078 on
Thursday the 21st day of November, 2024, at 1:30 pm.

This renovation project consists of a new central lobby desk and door to the adjacent existing office, including related electrical work, as part of the base bid.  The work also includes alternates for automatic door openers for the existing central lobby doors, a new sink in the existing lab cabinetry, a relocated door and new walls from an existing lobby to an existing corridor, and removal of an existing alcove in the pharmacy that includes removal of a countertop and rolling shutter.  Work includes selective demolition and reuse or salvage of various materials as noted on the drawings.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the office of Sandhills Medical Foundation, Inc., 40 Baldwin Avenue, Lugoff, SC 29078 on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm. The Architect for the project is Jeff Lewis, AIA, 561 Jacobs Mill Rd, Elgin, SC 29045. The Contract Documents can be obtained digitally from the Architect, free of charge, per written request to trey@JeffLewisAIA.com.  Hard copies of the Contract Documents are solely the responsibility of the prospective bidder and will not be provided by the Owner or Architect.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids unless authorized by awarding authorities.  The Contractor to whom this work is awarded may be required to furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract, if the Owner chooses to accept the corresponding Bid Alternate. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in bidding.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Federal Anti-Trafficking Laws, and 40 CFR 33.240.
