Contractor’s License Required for the Work: Class B, General Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification or Sub-Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work. Any Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law.
The Project is generally described as including but not limited to: The modernization of the 4th floor within the existing four-floor Mission Bay School building. New construction at the 4th floor will accommodate a special high school, while the first three floors will remain as an elementary school. The scope of the work is primarily interior, with the additional mechanical equipment on the north roof above the 3rd floor and the roof above the 4th floor. The shell and core of existing building is to remain. The 4th floor construction includes a group learning studio, three classrooms, meeting rooms, staff offices, and supporting restrooms.
The estimated construction is $6,757,500.
Prevailing Wage: The work described is pursuant to California Labor Codes 1770 and 1771.
Job-Walks. There will be two job walks as indicated below. Attendance at one of the job walks is a MANDATORY requirement to bid for General Contractors. All attendees are required to sign-in to be acknowledged to be in attendance and eligible to bid.
Job Walk No. 1: January 28, 2025, 10:00 AM
Job Walk No. 2: February 04, 2025, 10:00 AM
Bidders shall meet at Mission Bay School, 1415 Owens St, San Francisco, CA 94158 at the date and time for the Job Walk. Bidders shall meet at the main entrance on 6th Street. All bidders must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during the job walk.
